Oster Shavex

I just got back from an antique store here in Bothell, WA where I saw an Oster Shavex. It looked like a miniature pair of lawn shears with these little tiny blades in two rows that went back and forth when you squeezed the handle. The box advertised that it gave as close a shave as any razor.

I've never heard of such a device. Anybody know anything about it?

it is a pre electric hair cutting tool, as in "old school clippers"
Okay, that makes sense. It's a barbering tool for cutting hair, not for shaving the beard. Now that I recollect, it didn't say "shaving", it said something like "cuts as well as any razor". Kind of like a non-electric version of Wahl hair trimmers.
