Oryx sighting in Soledad Canyon

Beautiful day for a popular hike. Saw two oryx just off the trail.

They were introduced to New Mexico in the 70s. With no natural predators, they have thrived. They are very prolific in the White Sands Missile Range although I spotted these two on the west side of the Organ Mountains.

Looks like another great place for a hike. They are a great looking animal. Thanks for sharing these hikes with us. Especially the members like me who live overseas from you. It is an interesting little look into your world.
