I'm hoping someone here has tried the smallest New Forest brush, even better would be is somebody could compare its performance to a TGN fan shaped knot.

Not sure if this will be much help, but i have a New Forest Tubby II and a restored Eveready w/25mm TGN knot, both are really great performers, but the NF edges in slightly, the knots are very dense and luxurious.
I havent tried the smaller New Forest, but i would never hesitate to buy another and probably will down the track.
