If you want to try an old-fashioned lilac aftershave, I'd suggest Gabel's Lilac. Gabel's doesn't have the litter box scent note and is not overly sweet as some lilac aftershave can be.
I also find that I like what others don't like. Don't get your hopes up on this one!For what it's worth, I normally like the stuff that others don't care for so am pretty optimistic.
And they call it the Garden State!Lilac Vegetal. The smell of springtime in Paterson, New Jersey.
Here's a question...does decanting the Veg help any? Since I'm waiting on my bottle "blind", I picked up a couple of glass jars at Hobby Lobby today to put it in. Figured it wouldn't hurt and would look nicer than the plastic jugs regardless if I like the scent or not.
These were on sale this week. $1.49 each. Thought that was a great deal compared to buying on-line or emptying out hot sauce bottles.

One thing I never experienced with it is the dry down...it might improve on the dry down. I never got that far as I refused to apply it.
It’s trash! Pure ****!I see there are many posts on the Veg in the Opinions on Arko scent. They don’t really belong in this suburb thread. Opinions on Arko scent thread really is a classic. Opinions on Arko Scent? I thank @Owen Bawn for creating that thread, The Veg and Arko share a similar niche in the shaving community. Its either love or hate. This is why I think they need each other in a sister site.
I hope this fledging site will prosper like Opinions on Arko scent.
Please post your opinions of the Lilac Vegatal here. Don’t hold back I know you don’t need to be told.
170 years after its introduction to the Hungarian Cavalry. You will note that the 4th Hussars exist yet today, a fact I attribute to the preservative and fixative properties of the green elixir - worn, bathed-in or imbibed. Bonne santé!I have a New Year's Resolution: I WILL try the Veg in 2023!
It's the least I can do for all the good laffs you folks gave me!
