Opinions on Clarks Saranac shoes

Does anyone have an opinion on these?

I am leaning toward the olive or the navy. Essentially I am looking for nice casual shoe I can wear everyday. My work is fairly casual (a lot of people in jeans and tennis shoes), so I need something that would ok with jeans or chinos. I will be picking up a pair of Navy Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars as well so these two shoes will pretty much be my everyday shoes until the Chicago winter arrives.

Thanks

i was looking at clarks the other day, untill i checked the inside and where they are made, when you buy a nike sneaker, you expect it to be made in vietnam or indonesia, when you fork out real cash for a good shoe, you expect it to be produced with more quality and care,

I grew up in Saranac, NY (NOT Saranac Lake); in a house on the north bank of the Saranac River. I graduated from Saranac Central School.

I drink Saranac beer sometimes (it's made in Utica).

Those shoes: I like 'em.

TBH, they look like something you might buy at Target or K-Mart. I'd pass and go for some boat shoes (Sperry). They work well in business casual situations for me.

That style is much cooler. I had a similar style from Clarks and I loved them. Had it not been for the fact that they became trashed, I would have held onto them. I agree with Aevum. I took a look at the original style mentioned, and I although it looked cool, the quality seemed lacking.

As I was trying on about 4 different styles, the one I originally went to look at paled in comparision. I still like how the Saranac it looked, but it just did not feel as good of a shoe.
