It’s hard to resist an Arko thread The scent doesn’t remind me of urinal cake at all. I really enjoy it and love the performance. I’ll always have a stick in my stash. All Hail The Arko Man!

Yes there are and I would contend that they particularly smell like the ones they use in public housesIs this a thing? Are there really people who claim that Arko smells like a urinal cake?
This is a cultural thing, I think. In Turkey the scent is just the scent of cleanliness, good hygiene, clothes freshly washed, etc. Unless you are peeing on your Arko stick, then there might be some resemblance.Yes there are and I would contend that they particularly smell like the ones they use in public houses

It will get better, performance wise, as you get used to it. But....it can be drying! After 7 years in this hobby, I finally picked up some Arko stick to see what the deal is.
Scent: I get citronella. It's not unpleasant to me at all. Actually, I sorta like it. Makes me want to go camping. Mosquitoes will fear me.
It lathers up quickly and easily, but the lather itself isn't all that great. Not much slickness and I find the soap to be pretty drying on my face.
But for ~$1 a stick, ya... hard to ignore the value.
Especially if you are a mosquitoIt will get better, performance wise, as you get used to it. But....it can be drying!
If Arko were to put forth a repellent Tiki torch I'd be all over it.Especially if you are a mosquito
Hmm...I wonder if sticking a wick inside lf a stick of Arko and then lighting it would work as a citronella candle. If Arko were to put forth a repellent Tiki torch I'd be all over it.
Also, anything to keep this thread and any others like it front and center. These are important issues.
That would be a great youtube video! I bet it would work.Hmm...I wonder if sticking a wick inside lf a stick of Arko and then lighting it would work as a citronella candle.

Lol I heated some arko in the oven/microwave for frankensoap and though it foamed strongly it did not clean the oven part one bit.Maybe self-cleaning too.
I can understand the citronella candle reference. They smell good to me. I've seen people practically bathe in DEET spray so how offensive could ARKO scent be?Arko smells like citronella? Like mosquito repellent? That's another new one. This thread is really uncovering some incredibly creative and original thinking.
Well I have incognito less mosquito body soap with citronella which I tend to use all summer. And I like stirling electric sheep which is citronella. Arko beats them both. And yeah last time in asia I did not use deet critters stayed away with all that soapy glory. Tjiktjaks still stayed on the ceilings and ladies did not run away either so it was not that strong.I can understand the citronella candle reference. They smell good to me. If you open the wrapper and let it air out for a few days, it will become even more innocuous. To my wife and I Arko smells like Ivory soap. Just got it yesterday and haven't lathered it yet so that may change
Got the puck as I'm ot a fan of sticks. Does this mean I'm doomed? If you open the wrapper and let it air out for a few days, it will become even more innocuous.
