I have two pocket style open comb Gillettes. One is made in Canada and the other in the USA. The blade centers itself better in the Canadian model than the USA model does. Neither has any serial number or dating. Were the Canadian models made with more precision?

Seems to me some of my Single Rings center themselves (most actually), but one or two I had to play with a bit to make sure. I recently did a week of them, different razor and blade each day, so 7 loaded up-actually I recall messing with only one- I think it was the newest, from 1917 IIRC. The rest are 1912 and earlier.

I tried them with only the cap and the US model had more side play than the Canadian.
