I’m am one week into my straight razor shaving sequel. About ten years ago I gave it a try but couldn’t quite make it work. I’m hoping that this time around, being a little older, heavier, and more gray I can make it stick it out.
My Dovo special needed a little work when I took it out of mothballs. I managed to get it serviceable again on a Chinese 12k stone and some COx paste. Ive been able to get a semi decent two pass shave that has not been overly painful. The razor seems a little harsh so I have some work to do somewhere. My shave is close enough most places. My neck is a problem area, can’t quite get a close shave below my jawline yet. So lots of work to do yet.
