One sided Jnats?

Is there a reason we only use one side of Jnats. I did lap the bottom corner of a small Shobu Asagi and it now has a new very useful function. I would like to use my large Shobu Asagi for both knives and razors. I would like to keep one side specifically for razors since knives wear the stone differently. Is there a reason most Jnats are only lapped on one side?

Less work to flatten it once it's freshly cut.
To lap it completely flat would mean to thin it down to that sides smallest dent = thinner stone is worth less than a thicker one.
Then we have the aesthetic reason too ofcourse.
About the only reasons I can think of...

Many of them have kawa on one side. If they don’t, no reason not to lap both sides. I have several where I have lapped the bottom for use and left the stamps on top. Depends on the shape and structure of the stone.
I like the kawa and stones with chisel marks, and tend to leave those the way they are, but if it lacks those and is relatively flat on the bottom, lap away.
