One side of Merkur Futur has more blade exposure

Oh man, yeah that wouldn't have been welcome! Which is funny too, because ok standards have fallen, overall, maybe, but also now you don't NEED DEs. You chose to get one, and people are well informed too, and there is competition (whereas Gillette had nezrly had a monopoly all over the world, I believe).
 
Ensure its not the blades. Try something made by Gillette to see if its the blade.

It happens with every blade. The blade moves a tiny amount under the cap with a slight nudge of the fingernail, and obviously when placed against the skin during shaving. Merkur sent me a new top cap and base plate and that didn't solve the problem. I recently posted this to a FB shaving group and one member immediately responded that he too could move the blade with his finger after snapping in the top cap.
