MdC, but SV would also be a fine choice.
GD Lavender (Kairos base)
Nothing exotic for me. Cella red, or Proraso green, would be my choice.
I'm in a MdC phase. Definitely MdC Fougére!
Ethos Vanilla Safi, if not available GD Ousia (Kairos SE w/ Lamb Tallow & Emu Oil base)
MacDuff's Rose Gold. I don't like a lot of their scents, but MacDuff's v4 is imo the best soap base I've ever used
I don't particularly like soap fragrances.... that leaves me with the choice of the best performing soap/cream I have used. Because I've gotten such great advice here, I don't have any poor performing soaps/creams.... so for my last shave, I'd have a barber give me a nice, close shave with a straight razor... let her or him choose the soap.

(Un)fortunately, I don't have a choice of liking or not liking scents, smells and aromas. I'm "nose blind."
Soaps, for me, will come down to performance and spouse's scentsual impressions!
I've also been forced to go by performance when it comes to soaps, since in old age, I've pretty much lost my sense of smell.
(Which at times can be a good thing.)
Love this one. I hope he makes it again.
