One good use for a Fusion

Try as I might, I can't get rid of my Gillette Fusion razor and cartridges for one reason - the trimming blade on the back. I find it invaluable for the tight area under my nose and the entrance of my nostrils. I've tried trimming scissors, the Merkur Moustache razor, various safety razors of different designs, etc. But nothing I've tried can provide the smooth results of the Fusion for me.

What works for others?

I just go ATG there w/ any kind of DE. If the hair's too long the scissors does it. I guess my moustache area is kind of insensitive

Tip of a straight.

just got round to watching that film a few weeks ago, thought it was really good, also it reminded me why i need another hat, or two
+1 on the straight tip. you could also remove the bottom of the head, assuming you use a 3 piece, and try the razor like that, sounds dangerous but something ive been tempted to try for sometime.

Now *that's* worth trying - many thanks for the tip!

I appreciate the suggestion of the straight as well, but have damage to the motor skills in my right arm due to cubital tunnel surgery years ago and just don't trust myself with one of those.

Totally agree with you, although in my situation it's with the Shick Quattro, which I think is a better razor than the Fusion (which is a difficult admission, being from Gillete's home town, being mostly a lifelong Gillette user, and being an absoluter hater of Shick's support of right wing causes. But that's another story). It's just easier using that little back blade than trying to negotiate with nose pushing and buffing.

Ummmm. Bad idea. The handle doesn't secure the blade tight enough against the head, so it's all loosey goosey. Just tried it and was lucky not to gash my face in the process.
