Omega Pro10049 - suitable stand?

Hi guys,

I have a chrome razor/brush stand, which fits my Tweezerman badger brush perfectly but doesn't fit the Omega Pro10049. I can squeeze it in, but likely not meant to do that. So in the meantime it's just laying flat on a dry washcloth.
Is there any stand you can think of or recommend what to do with this brush?

I suppose I could fashion one out of a coat hanger, if push comes to shove.

I have a Omega 10048 Pro and have wondered the same thing. The knot is thicker than many brushes and the bristles are much longer. I ended up getting the Omega 10083 Pro which is just a little smaller and will fit in the Omega 274 stand. However, as often as not I just stand them on their heads. They seem to dry just fine. West Coast has a stand I was tempted to try. It looks like it would work, but I havent' tried it myself.

Good luck in your quest. Let us know if you find a stand you like.

Well, good point. I guess I won't sever its life that much eh?

I'm not sure it will shorten it's life at all. I shake mine out good, and stand it up, and it is completely dry by the afternoon at the latest. It is definitely one of my top 3.

Ah good to see someone else in the same boat as myself. I received mine today and was so surprised at its size! ( 13cm long with the bristles as a whole 6cm in length and diameter). All the stands I've looked at are way too small.

Here is the thing: if I gently hold the brush at the thinnest part of the handle the brush hangs bristles down so if I put an elastic band round the handle and then a small hoop of fishing line to that, I could hang it pretty much in the middle of an opened window (from the hooks in the wall that support a rail for a net curtain). So it should be a win win - the right orientation for the brush and the best drying air. I don't think the line would interfere with use.
