Omega 10066

I've been using this brush for the last 7 days straight. Yes I have been using Arko daily with this brush. It's breaking in very well and the black bristles don't really bother me.
I personally seem to prefer boar to badger brushes. I do have a few synthetics but my boar brushes are my absolute favorite.
How long are these boar brushes made to last? I take pretty good care of them.

How long is a piece of string?

Some people's boar brushes last indefinitely, others have short lifespans.

Boar brushes are generally quite cheap, and IMO I'd say enjoy using them and if you need to replace in the long run, it's not too trouble to replace in the long run.

From my experience certain Omega knots keep their shape better than others, but the one of the 10066 is the one I enjoyed using the most.

Most will last several decades with care. It's good to avoid soaking the base of the knot and to rotate with at least one other brush so it can dry thoroughly between uses. If you have hard water, a soak in a mild vinegar+water solution every once in a while can help get rid of mineral scale.
