I need some help from our fine forum members. I would like the do a study on an American company that makes wetshaving products. It is for an entrepreneurship class I am taking. I would like a company that is still in business as I need a successful company (and one where I can easily find some history). So, can I get a little help? Thanks in advance!

Lucky Tiger has been in business since the mid 30's.
Williams since the mid 19th century.
Williams would be good. G. Mennen Williams was even governor of Michigan for several years. Should be a lot of history there.

I'm certainly open...I thought maybe it would be easier to find history on American companies. I contacted Vulfix about Simpsons brushes and they know very little

Caswell-Massey. 1752. That they are involved in wet-shaving is a matter for debate.

Personna goes back to 1898 when the GEM Cutlery Co. was formed. GEM and Ever-Ready merged in 1906 to form ASR.
You beat me to it. This is certainly the oldest, still operating, American company involved in wet shaving. Good call.
I think that the parent of GEM/ASR/Everready goes back to 1881. Don't remember the company name just offhand, tho.

Yep. They were around before being American was cool.
In 1875 the Kampfe Brothers introduced the Star Razor.
In 1898 Jerry Reichard left Kampfe Bros and created the Gem cutley Co (later named the Gem Safety Razor Co)
In 1903 Reichard left Gem to for the Yankee Company, which later changed it's name to Ever-Ready
In 1906 Gem and Ever-Ready merge and become incorporated as the American Safety Razor Company
In 1919 Star is brought in under ASR.
