The razor has numbers inside the head -D898644 and the underside is marked Made in USA - Gillette.
Looks like Pat no on handle 13104

The case reminds me of a British old type case-

It is a 1917 Single Ring, also known as a Standard. The text on the handle actually says, "Pat. Nov. 15.04", which is the patent date.

Yup. That's what I thought, too. Although, the top edges look rounded instead of perpendicular. See below.
