Old Spice Brush?

Found a new in box Old Spice shaving set today. The box is a little beat up but for $10, I couldnt pass it up especially since I have been looking for a blue mug for a little while. It includes the blue mug, brush and razor handle. Probably won't be using the handle but I was just wondering if anyone knows who made these brushes circa 1985 and if they are any good?

Thanks!

Oh man my birth year set! What a score! I would PM you an offer if I wasn't in the sabbatical >.< Soooooo If you have a hankering to trade a Fatboy or some soaps for this set you let me know :)

Great find! Curious what the blade fitment for that Solid Brass Razor handle is? You could probably use it with some Trac II blades or similar, I'd keep it around and use it once in a blue moon if cartridges can be had!

I'm pretty sure it is the Trac II blade. I was thinking about maybe using it for travel, but I already picked up another DE razor for that. Actually - I have had a few fellow members PM me and inform me that I have found a rare set. So it seems I found a good deal.

So now in my RAD "hypothetical bank," I have a product that may be worth more than I paid for it. This means I have more money to buy more shaving supplies. :shaving:

It's a Trac II razor. And it's the same brush that comes with this set.
The boar knot isn't the highest quality, and many here (myself included) have replaced them with badger knots.

I have a Trac II handle just like that, of cast brass. Purchased in late '70s in Austin TX, but not Old Spice.
It's very heavy and nicely made.
In fact, it is sitting in my bathroom currently, for touch-ups around the back of the neck etc.
Those cartridges are still fairly common.

Nice find.
