Funny, Before i bought my G20 Scuttle I was doing this with my shaving bowl. It works well provided you give it enough time to sufficiently warm the ceramics.

Electronics next to a sink full of water? Not in my house.

I just keep my shave bowl inside the sink filled with hot water for blade rinsing. Keeps lather nice and hot for subsequent passes.
