Ogallala Bay Rum....

So......... About six months ago I placed an order with west coast shaving, and I picked up a couple of pucks of Ogallala Bay Rum shaving soaps. They were extremely cheap, only 4.50 a puck. I figured why not give them a try, or throw them into a starter set. Anyways, today, after having them for a long time, I decided to give it a shot. Immediately I had huge white, creamy fluffly thick lather. I was shocked. I worked it into my beard and it laid on thick. I even had chunks of creamy lather flying off my brush. I could not believe these results. And the shave was great!

if anybody is looking for a cheap soap that is greap for the price, this is it. I'll definitely be using this more often.

Ogallala is one of the best in my rotation - which scents did you get?

Quality stuff there. I have the BR & Sandalwood as well as the BR, Limes & peppercorns.

They are also super easy to melt into whatever container you want.

I have only tried the shave stick in bay and lemon grass. I use it for travel and really like the product. I am going to have to try a puck.

Pretty much same thing happened to me, bought a puck months ago, never used it, finally used it the other day, had mounds and mound of lather, and finally came to the conclusion that Ogalla makes some great soap. I will be trying the other scents shortly I think.

I don't know what scents I have. I'm going to have to check tomorrow. I may even lather in a bowl. I have not used my scuttle in about nine or ten months. It's in my trailer. I may have to go pick it up, and give it a whirl.......

Just when you think it's safe to go back into the bathroom again........

Bay Rum and Orange here. Great scent and huge amounts of great lather.
John is a great guy to deal with and has fast shipping and wonderful products.
Have ordered several times from him and am making up another order. I am a Bay Rum addict and proud of it.:001_smile

Bay Rum and Sandlewood and Bay Rum - Limes and Peppercorn. Love the smell of this stuff.. Aftershave and soap are great. I got a sample of the Bay Rum and Orange. Smells good in the package.

I use shave sticks mostly since I use it for travel. I've heard of some people having issues loading the pucks. Using the shave stick, my beard usuall sluffs off more than enough. The lather is thick and creamy, very slick, and smells awesome. Afterwards, I really feel like the face for a good lick of moisturizer as well.

If I didnt have a shaving disorder, I would be more than happy to be a sole ogallala user...

I'm placing an order with WCS soon and I figured I would give this a try. I dont even know what bay rum smells like!

Would you guys recommend the regular bay rum or the bay & sandlewood?

I've got the Bay Rum and the Bay Rum sage and cedar. Both are awesome!
The first time I used the sage and cedar it kinda made my face burn a little bit at first. But the last time it didn't so I'm not sure what the deal with that is? They are strongly scented soaps for sure and they smell great. Good slick lather as well!

I just started using the sage and cedar this week. i thin k the sage is pretty strong, i want to try the pure bay rum. great lather though even w/ my cheap brush.

I recently received a sample of the Ogallala soaps. I did not particularly car for the plain Bay Rum or the Bay Rum and Sandalwood scents. The first smelled too strongly of cloves and the second like baby powder. However, the lemongrass and the lime and prppercorn are wonderful.

Just yesterday I tried out the Bay Rum, Sage, and Cedar soap. I really liked it, especially since I got it for free!
