@Sascoman- I find with the Sabre it needs to be opened to dry well, as the fitment is very tight and it may not dry fully if a blade is left in the razor. When I took it out of the cabinet it had some staining on the plate insides that was easily removed with some Scrubbing Bubbles and a toothbrush. It is a fine shaver!

A fine SEptemBoar shave for me today- two passes, one tiny bleeder, no irritation, quite close and smooth, 9+/10, DFS+:

Razor: Blackland Sabre- level 2 plate with a fresh blade shaves well
Blade: Gem SS PTFE (1)
Lather: La Toja stick
Brush: Zenith unbleached boar- great face lather today
Post: Rinse, a splash of some La Toja AS, a touch of sting on my neck, but smells and feels great

Enjoy your shaves!

Thank you kind sir - I always remove the blade and then wash and dry my razors after every use …… I’m OCD that way 😎

It is a fine shaver indeed 🙌

Tonight’s luxury shave
RazoRock Hawk V3OC
Schick Proline P-series (20)
Damp washcloth aka “shave binky”
AP ShaveCo Silksmoke 28mm synthetic brush
Pre-shave: no
Lather: Col Conk Unscented, face-lathered
Aftershave: Ulm Nom
Post-shave: face wash with shave binky
Post-shave: Neutrogena Hydro Boost gel cream

Lathered up and tried going shallow and light as possible. Kept scraping myself every few strokes. Went steep and even lighter. Better, but some whiskers on my jawline wouldn’t cut. Aftershave was refreshing instead of stinging. Will see if the blade behaves better next time.

Last day of Single Edge SEptember is here. Friday, September 30th has arrived all too soon! :)

Thanks to everyone who participated this month. We've been treated to some awesome Single Edge eye candy! :)

For those who have AC blade razors of any stripe, @Chan Eil Whiskers got his AC blade razors gathered together and is running ACtober over in the SE Razors room on the following thread:

I may have one or two AC razors that I can bring to the party. ;)

See y'all over there beginning on Saturday. :)

Great month of shaves. Thank you for organizing it, @never-stop-learning

Razor: Supply Pro
Blade: Supply Black (15)
Brush: Stirling Tuxedo
Soap: Cooper & French Old Goat
Balm: Proraso White
Aftershave: Bootlergger’s Eldorado

I used this blade at least once too often. The alum and aftershave let me know I got less than a stellar shave. But still sufficient for a DFS.
