Ode to alcohol aftershaves

Once in a while I try a balm or some alcohol free lotion, it’s disappointing and lacking for me.

I'm the same way. Most of my balms just sit on my shelf untouched.

I kinda do things backwards. After a drama free shave that I know went without irritation I’ll go for a balm. And for those that say they are greasy, try using less product than you think you’ll need on a still wet face. I find “diluting” works well for a balm to alleviate the greasiness.
If I know the shave was rough or I drew blood, straight to a heavy dose of alcohol aftershave. The burn helps me learn.

I use alcohol or balm as the mood and face dictate. Nothing wrong with either.

Dear Phil @luvmysuper very well stated indeed, my friend. The 2 alcohol-based aftershaves I will never be without for any reasons are Proraso Green and Floid The Genuine (latest upgraded version).
