I was wondering if anyone else has had funny or odd things happen to them during or due to their shaving habits?
Mine was "My Cat Killed My Kindle eBook"
Two days before Christmas I was reading a book on my 2nd Gen Kindle and I decided that when I shaved later I wanted to try one of the Gillette razors I hadn't used yet.
While the razor was shiny I still needed to disinfect it and give it a good washing. I put my Kindle down on the edge of the sink counter top, got the alcohol and cleaning stuff ready and turned on the water to start cleaning the razor.
While I'm cleaning the razor one of my Siamese cats jumps up on the counter and I tell him to "get down" because of the cleaning supplies being there.
He jumped down but while doing so he had his back foot on the Kindle. In slow motion the Kindle slid across the counter top into the sink and the screen was face up in the water centered right underneath the flowing faucet!!
Needless to say my Kindle is dead, not even the old dry rice trick worked on it. It worked for about 5 min of jumping around the book by itself then... dead.
The up side of the story is when I was about to dissemble the Kindle my wife rolled her eyes at me, went to the tree and gave me a early present that was a brand new Kindle Paperwhite eBook! While we have tablets I just like using the e-ink readers for books.
It was a happy ending to an odd shaving mishap.
