I have this single ring coming to me from an ebay.uk win and I noticed an odd mark on the underside of the comb plate in the listing picture. If you look closely at the underside of the head, you can see what looks like a symbol with a square around it (on the left side of the head). Anyone see this before? I have single rings from this era without this mark and I haven't been able to dig up any info on mr-razor.

Interesting. I have no idea about the mark. I almost wonder if it might be some sort of scratch or ding, but the outer box around the other mark appears far too distinct, and the lines seem too straight, for an incidental scratch or ding. I'm curious about the answer, though.

Unfortunately not. It was the only picture on the listing, with no real description. I won the auction for super cheap (it included three other razors, two of which also have value) and just took a chance.
I think it is a "G" inside of a "D" like the one pictured below. I have also seen this marking on New Improved razors, but don't ask me what it means.

While the G inside the D is uncommon it's not rare. And I don't know what it means either.
