Odd Ball NEW

I procure this the other day and it's different then any NEW I've come across.
It's got short combs, the Gillette Logo and made in the USA but no patents and it has a massive gap in the bottom plate and a massive tip on the handle.

Even though it's got short combs, it doesn't have the cutouts for the nibs, it's like a long comb head with short combs.

Is the handle heavier than standard - is the balance different? How does it shave?

The handle is only a bit over a gram lighter then a regular ball end.
But the head is 5 grams lighter then a regular NEW with SC.
The base plate of the head is 3.8 grams lighter then a regular NEW with short combs, but less then a gram lighter then a LC base plate.
The caps lighter too but that probably because it's brass under the plating and the other cap I have is copper.
I haven't shaved with it and don't know if I want to, the comb tips are sharper then a regular SC NEW more like an Old Type.

For some reason the last combs on the end look really wide. Is that normal?
