Happy Monday! It feels good to be using my Plisson-Joris Palladium Engraved. It is definitely my all time favorite KBP razor. Actually, KBP is a thousand dollars more an ounce than KBG. I slid this one under the radar with swmbo, lol. I can't describe what a relief it was to use a Fatip OC again. The shave was so effortless and easy. It's like the stubble just rolled off my face. I ascribe the added efficiency to not having used a Fatip product in a long time, or the 110 gram added weight of the razor, or it was the Palladium finish. I'm leaning towards the finish. When in doubt always choose the plating.

The Mistura is such a joy to use for face lathering... honestly, I really like it.
Other than this experience there is not much to report today. I had a flawless and efficient enough two pass shave with some touchups to enter DFS-territory. No cuts, no drama.

I was going to swap out to a milder OC, but decided to press on. Learning to keep a light hand while shaving with the New Standard. Didn't feel anything when I ran the alum stick over my face.

Results: BBS, but far from comfortable, with a couple of late weepers and some irritation, not a good blade for the R41 Clone. The Pol-Silver & Rapira Plat Lux are much better in the R41 Clone.

Results: Wow, face was still a tad beat up from the Wilkinson/R41 Clone match from Friday, with that new GEM scraping a couple of those weepers from Saturday. Shouldn't have used a new blade, and pulled the one from the Bullet, with a couple shave on it. - Super close BBS results.

No shave yesterday. Last 5 weekdays of the month will be spent with a personal favorite, my 1938 Gillette Senator. Paired with a new Nacet blade. No trouble at all getting me BBS in 3 comfortable passes.

Valet Auto Strop VC3 / vintage VAS Blade / Williams-VDH Shave Stick / Clubman -- grated a puck of Williams and VanDer Hagen together and packed it into an old deodorant container. A pretty good match: Williams for the slickness and VDH for the lather abilities.
