The OC-D is an excellent Karve plate! Except for under my nose, I could use this razor every day.

Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary Edition
Brush: Men-U boar
Razor: GC.68 OC, Astra SP #6
Post-shave: Nivea 2-Phase Lotion.

This soap can take slightly more hydration than I thought, and gets the slicker for it.

Everything worked well, I did an extra XTG pass on my face, and the result was near-perfect.

This ABC has a plain case, but in excellent shape. It even resided in the original velvet bag, hidden away in dark cabinet in a local vintage mall. The blade bank was absolutely stuffed with Blue Blades.

Just one pass ATG. Easy to get a fast, close shave with a thin cap Old Type. Long drive tomorrow. I'll get pass 2 in the morning and hit the road.

Notes:

Silver Star blade matches very well with Fatip OC razors.

Fine Santal Absolut soap is great for Autumn. Too bad it's been discontinued.

Aftershave: Captain's Choice Cat o' Nine Tails

Trying to stretch the cursed Astra SP to two shaves, and I did it today by just going WTG and XTG with a few touch-ups on the chin and mustache. Still CCS and it doesn't have to last two days because I have to shave for a wedding tomorrow anyway.

Do you use the "close shave" side of the Archdale? I can't quite picture what angle you'd need with that upturned blade.

Thanks! The handle is actually a Like Grandpa which is also make by Karve (Both companies are in Alberta Canada).

Dude, life's too short and your face is too pretty to risk a rough shave trying to stretch out a 20 cent blade. If its bad, chuck it and pop in a new one. Excellent call on the CO9T! I need a new bottle of that juice. Love it!

Close Shave - ATG
I don't change the shave angles.
