One of my top shave creams! Awesome scent with a nice creamy and slick lather...the new Silvertip is a dream! Kitten-belly fur softness and the knot is huge...felt like a 26mm...
Had a good shave with the razor paired with this new but long-in-possession blade. The razor SB side is more aggressive than the OC side & 2 out of 3 passes were with the OC side. Turns out to be not as efficient but feels crisp, smooth, and comfortable. 3passes for a bbs/dfs result without issues. Aftershaves were awesome as well.

Weirdy Beardy shave cream, brushless
Witch Hazel + Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel

I've posted it before, I'm not a fan of brushless shaving creams, but this Australian product, Weirdy Beardy, really lends itself to the shallow shaving angle that works with this British Velvet.

Read a couple of recent threads about using Neutrogena Hydro Boost as an post-shave balm and I will have to agree with those promoting it so vigorously--it's good stuff.

I completely dialed in the use of my Old Type and before Friday! It is so smooth, but today it was efficient as it was smooth. It's really like a Gillette Post War Tech in comfort, ease of use, feel, and smoothness but with blade feel. It definitely beats the New Types and leaves them in the dirt. In case you have forgotten, here are the words of TobyC upon hearing the Old Type beat out the New Types in the now infamous grudge match:

OCtober XIII

Ever had one of those shaves that starts with a big mistake?

Today, I started my shave and wasn’t paying attention…way to much Mogno cream in my scuttle. And what a great “mistake” it was, I had a silly amount of warm, slick lather. (Don’t tell anyone but, I’m thinking about messing up again tomorrow.)

That awesome lather was applied with my super soft PAA Solar Flare 3.5 times and I still had a lot left.

My Red and Black Set (New LC) did a great job removing my stubble.

Fun shave.
