Occasional Use Chain Saw

Edit: one thing to be mindful of if using an electric chainsaw---chainsaw chaps do not protect against them as they do with a gas saw.

Just curious, why is that?

Electric motors are constant torque, whereas a gas engine's torque curve rises and falls. Basically, the electric saw just keeps going rather than stalling. There are some pretty good videos on youtube with better explanations than I can offer.

I currently have a Stihk MS290 Farm Boss and a Stihl 192 arbor saw. I love them both. I don’t think there is a better chainsaw or weed Wacker out there than a Stihl. With that being said, I did have a Stihl 170 with the easy start. To me, that was the perfect all around great casual use home/small farm saw. Unfortunately, someone stole it from my shed.
