Of all my brushes, I have noticed a phenomenon in my Kent silver tip brushes (BK4 and BK8), which is not present in any others. Most of the hairs in these two brushes have curled slightly at the tips. If I gather the brushes at their tips and squeeze gently, there is a sponginess as I squeeze.
I have never placed either of these brushes in hot water; I always use water, which is between between very warm and hot.
These brushes seem fine otherwise and they are among the top performers in my collection.
