Noxzema Cleansing Cream

So I got some of the Rite-Aid version (no doubt the same thing) and WOW! This stuff feels goooooooood. I used it as a pre-shave and also tonight as a wash and this stuff just KILLS the Nivea face wash I have (in my opinion). I just wanted to tell you guys to try it  I have heard it's like Proraso pre-shave?

I find it to be a much cheaper alternative to Proraso green pre-shave. I've been using Noxema for years and it works well for me. Glad you enjoy it too ZackP

I had complexion problems in early adolescence, and used the stuff to do thorough cleaning. My best recollection is that its scent was an odd one, not particularly pleasant, but it was helping me to avoid blackheads. When I started shaving on a more regular basis, not just once a week, the first shave cream I ever used was Noxzema's, and I used it fairly often for several years. The shave cream had a better smell about it, however (as best I remember -- what I don't recall one way or the other is whether there was a lathering version, or just the brushless / latherless kind).

Noxzema is fine as a pre-shave. So is Corn Huskers' Lotion.

I use these about half the time.

I was about to start a thread on Noxzema but found this one. Recently I've started putting a thin layer on my beard before I step in the shower and wash it off as the last step of my shower. leaves my face ready for a shave. no other pre-shave needed. I've been getting great shaves and by applying it and washing it off in the shower I can still enjoy the scent of my soaps :)

I think I'll have to try this. It doesn't leave your face sort of dry and tight like after putting the AS on? My neutrogena was ok but left my skin pretty dry for a pre shave.

This stuff rules. Not only that, it has REALLY helped with my acne and bad looking pores. Great deal for $3 or so. I have the Rite-Aid version, and it has a SERIOUS menthol kick.

yea, i bought some proraso as a preshave not knowing, and when i opened it i was reminded of Noxema, then i used it.... and i was like "***!? i shoulda just bought some noxema"

I bought some of this and tried it out the last couple of shaves and both shaves were excellent. After I get out of the shower I put some on my fingertips and rub it over my beard. I then proceed to my regular routine - making my lather ina bowl, and then my usual four-pass shave. I am looking and feeling good! Thanks for suggesting this product - cheap and it works.

Cheers
