Day 12, 40% complete

Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: GC1.05 SB, Al Handle, Wizamet SI #4

Back to MWF. Everything worked perfectly, for an easy near-BBS. Wizamets seem to be a good blade for the GC1.05-P.

GRUME Day 13, Shave #6

Mid-month and mid-week blahs. Cold wave hitting the Northeast. Despite getting up early, still felt like the morning was in slow-motion. Looked at the basho results from overnight and wasn't thrilled. Wife and one of the kids are under the weather. Couldn't get the motivation and time to exercise before work.

Paine wasn't entirely right -- it's not just dramatic events, but also the dreary, boring times that will try men's souls.

Decided to skip the pre-shave today. Tried to maybe get one too many shaves out of that single Nacet -- shave #8 was not the best, and took 4 passes to get a smooth shave. I paid for it with a bit of muzzle-burn, and a few nicks, but that's what I get for not listening to my face with shave #7. Mike's still performing admirably, and I'm glad I finally tried it.

Razor: Yates Winning Titanium
Blade: Nacet (8)
Pre-shave: -none-

Brush: Simpson Colonel
Bowl: Timeless injection-mold
Soap: Mike's Natural Soaps - Hungarian Lavender
Aftershave: SV Settantesimo/70th Anniversary

I'm hoping that by reading the GRUME thread here, having a stiff large cup of tea, and diving into work, I won't succumb to the need for novelty and the certain endorphin-hit I'd get by finally getting that CC shaving bowl I've been coveting.

Still IN (but barely!)

Apologies, gents....

I could have SWORN that my CC Admiral bowl was purchased in October, but, according to my credit card statement, it was this month. I should not have joined until I confirmed that.

Do crack on without me.
This is not helping me! Those CC bowls are beautiful, and my resolve is weak!!!

(Honestly, it was a mistake anyone could have made, and I'm hoping you enjoy the bowl and join up again for the December GRUME).

Still in. And still breaking in the Zenith brush I got las month. Hoping it will feel less scritchy after doing lots of bowl lathering. I like a soft horse hair brush for face lathering but this one isn't quite there yet.
Razor: Gillette NI
Blade: Gillette Nacet (4)
Brush: Zenith Horse Hair
Bowl: Pereira
Soap: HC&C Cornucopia
AS: Proraso White Balm and Stirling Autumn Glory Splash blended
