November 2024 Gentlemanly Restraint Until Month End (GRUME)

Still in - BBS

Krona, Feather (1), Proraso Red, Omega S-Brush, Tüff Herb AS

That Tüff is excellent! Mild and subdued scent (40s-50s European Barbershop) and a ton of skin goodies yet not greasy. I will take a pic of the ingredients next time.

GRUME Day #11, Shave 5
Feeling the Monday morning blues very hard, so I decided to make this an all-Forbes morning, and was not disappointed. The 1445 scent is one I really like, and my wife likes it more than I do, so who am I to argue?

I'm on shave #7 with the Nacet, and still getting a DFS (although I do need all three passes).

Razor: Yates Winning Titanium
Blade: Nacet
Pre-shave: Castle Forbes
Brush: Simpson Colonel (circa 1995?)
Bowl: Timeless injection-mold
Soap: Castle Forbes 1445 Shave Cream
Aftershave: Castle Forbes 1445 Balm

Stay strong, November's 1/3 over.

Still in. Funny how a vintage razor, in this case the New Improved shaves so similarly to the modern Muhle Rocca that I'd been using for the last week. Both give some of the best, closest shaves of any razors I've tried.
Razor: Gillette New Improved
Blade: Gillette Nacet (2)
Brush: Zenith Horse Hair
Bowl: Pereira
Soap: HC&C Cornucopia
AS: Pre de Provence No.63

Day 11, 36.7% complete

Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: Nivea Men Shaving Creme
Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: GC1.05 SB, Al Handle, Wizamet SI #3
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Nivea Balm

I used Nivea Cream for a change. Got a quick but effective DFS.
