Not Sure What to Make of This

Just finished shave#17 with a Lord Platinum. I never get more than 4-6 quality shaves with any blade, including previous Lords from this same tuck. I rotate soaps daily, as well as razors, so this blade has seen use in a bunch of Techs, 40's Super Speeds, New SC & LC's, and even Parker Semi Slant.
I'm not one of those peachfuzz shavers who can get 20-50 shaves per blade or more & I've never got this kind longevity from any blade before.
Each shave is close, smooth and irritation-free.

Maybe your technique has improved or that blade just works for you now.

My beard is neither thick/course or thin/soft just average I guess if there is such a thing.
I typically get 7-14 days out of a blade depending on the blade.
Seem to get more shaves out of Gillette Nacets, Platinums, GSBs, Green/Yellow 7 O'clocks, also PolSilvers when I can get them.
I do well with Voskhod, Rapiria Platinum Lux, Lord Platinum, Personna Platinum Chrome & German Wilkinsons.
The most I got out of a blade was 18 days from a German Wilkinson.

40 years of wet shaving, so I doubt it's a matter of technique.

Other blades from the same tuck have been good for the usual 5-6 shaves before becoming rough or tuggy.
