Not so sticky Sticky

Hello,

found a weird Wilkinson Sticky, one door was raw brass, the other factory nickel. After deassembly found a bubble on the plated door, then realised it can be stripped with a knife. Looks bad, but it will be ok after polishing.
I suspect the layer was too thick and the surface was not properly cleaned.

Hello,

plating is not perfect, there is 0,5 mm bare spot on the inside, maybe I messed up while trying to assemble it. Anyhow, it’s such a pain in the a. to de- and reassemble, that I don’t care, it works again.
