Not red Personna, blue. Not Israeli, but American Platinum Chrome.

I just bought a 100 pack of Personna blades! What makes it unusual is that these are American made Persona platinum chrome blades. I have never heard of such a thing, but they are available from the Personna store front on Amazon.

I used the Rockwell 6C on plate 4. I put the overall shave somewhere between an Astra superior platinum and Gillette silver blue. In other words pretty decent shave!

Are these new, or have I just been missing out?

I purchased a 100 from Amazon too. I have 4 shaves under my Belt. 2 on my Rockwell 6s with #5 and 2 shaves on my R41 got BBS out of both. I like em so far.

The listing on Amazon is only from March 27. Interesting but unless you are an America only type there's a lot out there for half the price including the Crystals for $11 shopping the sales.

Anyone using these and the Crystal?

Are you sure that they are made in the USA? I know that the ad says that, but does it say it anywhere on the packaging itself? I only buy the Israeli red Personna's in packs that say "made in Israel", because I believe that there are other manufacturing locations that produce blades that look the same, but which are not. Admittedly, I cannot prove that supposition, but in another thread we looked at Israeli reds in plain white wrappers that said "Personna Platinum Chrome" on them. I even sent some of those to another user, and he agreed that they were inferior blades. Were they also made in Israel? I don't think so. And my hunch is that the ones you have were not made in the USA, but were made in Israel unless it is indicated otherwise on the package.

Never saw these before. It had the new logo on the pkg. I have the older blades and they are fine. Could it be that Edgewell is expanding the line? As long as they have printing and no arrows the blades have to be decent.

Yes cause all the store band DE blades I gotten in my town have been marked Made in Israel and are just as good as my Red Personna ones cause research has shown they are the same blades.

I believe what you purchased are what are commonly called lab blue barber American IPs.
