There were 2 of these little buggers out by my west fence, about 150 yards away, a little after noon. One went behind the bushes before I decided to get the camera. Sorry about the picture quality; just snapshots and I shot through the kitchen window.
If it's the same 2 I saw a few weeks ago (they were both still in velvet), the other one is a 6 point (including brow tines) also. They were closer, at the edge of that part of the pond. And that's just part of the pond; the rest of it has a lot more water.
If things go like usual...they'll disappear about two days before season starts.
I also saw a little fawn by the side of the FM road, just across from the house, when I went to town yesterday. Unusual to see one that little this late in the year.
