Thanks.Just fixed that for you.
Now that I just read your post correctly, Thanks for the welcome, Andrew.Welcome to the forum from Australia Alan.
I really like PdP 63, but I don't bloom it either. I really like triple milled soaps, such as Tobac, which are really hard and lack a lot of water.I don't think I've ever tried a triple milled soap. The closest, maybe, was the Pre de Provence No.63. It worked well but I didn't like the fragrance that much. I typically like to start loading my brush somewhat dry adding just enough water to get a paste. Though I just recently began bowl lathering.
Who knows, maybe if I end up using triple milled soaps I will have to change my name.
Thanks for the welcome.
On the rare occasion that I use a DE razor I use a Rockwell 6S too. Mostly straights here though.Heh, my wallet size has kept me away from buying to much hardware. I've got three razors and five brushes (mostly inexpensive synthetic brushes). I still mostly use my 6s.
Eventually I'll try a triple milled soap. I tried Tobac in the stick form. It too worked really well. But the scent, to my nose, had a note that was off. But that's been a theme for me, there's not that many scents I like.I really like PdP 63, but I don't bloom it either. Thank you, Virtus3.Welcome Alan!
I live up in the beaches area of Jax. Thanks for the welcome, T Bone.Welcome! Also from NE Florida (Saint Johns county) and also a long time cartridge shaver until recently (just about a year ago).
I'm intrigued with straights. But the cost is a bit steep compared to a regular DE. Maybe one day.On the rare occasion that I use a DE razor I use a Rockwell 6S too. Mostly straights here though.
That’s true, however you might even enjoy your shave more once you get the hang of it!I'm intrigued with straights. But the cost is a bit steep compared to a regular DE. Maybe one day.
Thank you, DMshaver. Perhaps there's a method to our madness.Hi Alan, welcome to B & B! I don't bloom my soaps, either.
Thank you, CJB3.Welcome aboard, Alan!
Thank you, Cryhavoc.Welcome to B&B!
Thanks for the welcome, Invicta. Though I've never used a triple milled soap, I tend to gravitate toward the softer soaps. I like the tubs.Welcome to B&B.
The hard soaps benefit from blooming but the softer soaps don't need it. I tend to use the soft soaps (croaps as they are sometimes referred to) these days, eg Cella, Proraso.
