A razor that I purchased on eBay arrived today and it came with a beautiful NOS (new, old stock) dispenser of 20 Gillette Blue Blades. This isn't the first time I have received an older razor with NOS blades and in the past I have just ignored these NOS blades and inserted a new Derby, IP, etc...into the razor to give it a try.
However, this raises an interesting question: has anyone tried using a NOS blade? How do these compare with modern blades? I guess the Blue Blades may be from the 1950s or 1960s, but I have older "Thin" blades too. I think I'll try one of the Blue Blades tomorrow, but I was wondering if someone here isn't a few steps ahead of me already?
