Nordstrom Anniversary sale

This is a classic "get to know AE" annual sale by Nordstrom. Two years ago I bought a pair of black Park Aves and a pair of walnut Strands at the annual sale and I haven't been happier.

Also Nordstrom's customer service is unparalleled. When I first bought them, I believed I was one shoe size. It turned out that, at least with AEs, I was 1/2 size smaller. After close to one year, they became very loose and uncomfortable to walk in. I contacted Nordstrom and they exchange them no problem. I didn't even have the receipt.

Enjoy the shoes and buy with confidence!

Picked up a pair of Park Avenues in Black. Thanks for the heads up. This is my second pair of AEs. Ordered 9.5 D as with most of my other shoes, including the only pair of AEs I own, the Parkway in Bourbon. Hoping to avoid a return due to fit...

The Nordstrom shirts are the best in quality IMHO. I have a few and they're still going strong after 10 years. Only one of 5 did I need to throw away because the stains wouldn't go away.

I usually wear a 9.5 in a medium width but with the AEs, I had to return the 9 D and get the 9 E.

I'll know in a couple days as the shoes have shipped. They are in Chattanooga, TN, tonight! I measured using the online printable sizing chart and it recommended 9.5 D, but it was really close to the E width. The Park Avenue uses the 5-65 last and they claim it is the best for a long, narrow foot. My foot is not narrow. Reviews of the Parkway say it runs slightly larger than the Park Aves, so I might be finding them a little small, as you did.

Happy to help :biggrin1:

Which pairs are you thinking about?

Neumok Blue, and then either the Strand or the Park Avenue. Hopefully I measured my size properly. I will decide later on tonight though as this would be a major investment.

Any idea when the sale will end?

Edit: And I just tried checking out to see how much shipping would cost... well shipping and Duties & Taxes add up to $185, making this sale useless for me. I would order them to a US address but I will have trouble returning them if they don't fit. Ah well shame.

Ordered a pair of black Macalister's for my son. Reviews on the sight say these run "true to size." Ordered his size, 10.5 D. We'll see how these fit.

I received the Park Aves today. Size 9.5D. I put the right shoe (larger foot) on first. Immediate first thought was "tight". Length was perfect. Thought to myself that if the left shoe is anywhere near as tight, I would send them back for the E width. Now the problem. The left shoe fits perfectly. Feels absolutely perfect. Do I try to stretch the left either by wearing the shoes or by getting the left stretched at the cobblers? Or do I return the shoes for the E width and tolerate a shoe that is probably too wide on the left. I'm thinking the former with the hope that the leather relaxes to the point of comfort. Thanks for your experience!

Man, that's a tough one. I would lean towards buying the 9.5 E and having the left foot be a bit large but I haven't owned a pair of AEs for an extended period of time so I will defer to the knowledge of others. Did you try it on during the end of the day when your foot was slightly swelled?
