What's new

Non-collector hoping for info

This little veteran was in an odd lot, I don't get to see Made In Canada on too many things.
From so much time on B&B I'm thinking Ball End Tech (?).
I just can't help but be curious about the model, era, anything else. Thanks ahead of time.

Here, but not much info...

Fun acquisition and a classic. A US ball end Old Type was my daily driver for decades. You should give yours a whirl.

Yours is a 'smooth ball'. A side view would tell whether it is a 'thin cap' or 'thick cap' variant. I would guess 1920s era. Thin caps are typically older than thick.

Funny, I had just finished using the old fella before seeing this post with a rare evening shave. The blade exposure means it will be for 'up for a challenge' days. I think I've got an old one here. Thanks again

Fast start! You'll be hooked on old Gillette three piece razors in no time. That can be a cheap thrill or take as much time and money as you would care to spend. I have kept it 'reasonably' cheap.

I agree that cap looks 'thin'. But, not having seen any Canadian Old Types before, I am going to say that there are probably differences from US production that make Canadian Gillettes their own breed.
