NOMADvember

As our month of Tabactober comes to an end, i'm both saddend and excited by the fact i'm not going to be reaching for tabac every morning.

I've had this puck of c&e nomad, shaved with it once or twice, had awesome shaves but its been sitting on a shelf for about 2 months. I think it needs some tender lovin' care.

So whose with me? a month of crabtree and evelyins nomad shaving stuffs?

The whole shabang is pretty pricey for my taste, but if anyone knows a container that wold fit the puck I'd be willing to drop the 8 bucks for a puck.

yeah, all i'm using is the soap, but if anyone prefers the otherstuff, they're welcome to join us.

as for container, the soap mills quite easily into any container, without the need to add water. Cheese grated mine and pressed it into my grandpas old tin shaving bowl.

having recently recieved but not yet used my nomad soap ill give nomadvember a try, assuming ofcourse i cant keep away from the trumpers rose cream thats quickly becoming my only used cream/soap :)

I'll definitely be in to use Nomad a lot in November... but Jularlington was too much for me. I'll NOT be doing a full month of anything for a while

I sold my nomad sc over the summer... never tried the soap. If I can steal a puck before November I'll give it a go, but that's unlikely.

I can't use it everyday. The scent has grown on me but it just doesn't measure up to a great soap. Contemplating getting rid of the sandalwood ss.

I'll give it good go, but not every day of the month. Too many others that I love love love. I personally think the soap is way better than the cream, and cheaper!

I agree with you. Personally, I like it much better than Tabac. I'm not sure if it's because I find Tabac to be wildly overrated, don't like its scent, or if I think it performs better... It's been so long since I used Tabac that I can't be sure

fair enough. I'm going to give it a go, it saves me ALOT of time in the mornings. So many solid soaps and creams...i get indecisive. this makes it easy

@ 8 bucks a puck, i feel its well worth it.

It's only $18 with the beautiful, refillable, wooden bowl and, if you play your cards right, C&E often offers discounts from their regular prices.

(I'm not a fan of the NOMAD scent, but I do like the Sandalwood, which has recently been reintroduced, and gives a pretty good shave for a non-tallow.)

+1

I have a puck of Nomad that I will try several times during the month but I am still trying to figure out the whole wetshaving thing and want to be able to perfect my technique without introducing too many variables.

Well what's more prefect way to eliminate variables than using one soap or cream for an entire month? Get my drift? :ihih:
