Nobiru

Anyone know anything about Nobiru straights? My mother picked up a frame back Nobiru that is marked Best Tungsten Steel. It is a 13/16" and a heavy beast (about 57 grams) in need of some care. Not really my style and not sure if I want to attempt a restoration on it.

Japanese maker - the ones I've seen were quite nice.

I would just hit the whole thing with some polishing compound and then hone it up and try it out. It is an interesting rare piece that will probably shave very nicely.

After you try it out you can better decide if you want to fully restore it, keep it with the patina, or PIF/BST it.

You need to pitch it... my way! Very nice. A little work on a buffing wheel and it would be BA.
