No styptic pencil needed

Finally. just got done with a 3 pass shave with touch ups AND no styptic pencil needed  And a good shave to boot.

I usually end up with at least a weeper or two, even had a couple nice cuts. It feels real good to go through a shave and no blood at all. I've been str8 shaving exclusively about three weeks now and while it's a fairly steep learning curve I feel I've made progress after every shave. Sometime learning not what to do :blushing:

I really am enjoying the process so far.

I haven't cut myself while shaving in about a year (knock on wood.)

Even when I did get cuts, back in the beginning, they were very minor, and usually healed themselves by the time I rinsed my face and applied after-shave.

Oddly, the only times I've needed to use a styptic pencil, its always been on my hands. When I get a cut while changing blades, its usually a pretty severe one, and the styptic comes in handy at that point.

Newbies often overlook the styptic pencil when they're setting up their first shave den, but its an important tool to have around. When you need one, nothing else will do.

It is a skill. Over time you just somehow learn how not to cut yourself.
