No-go cream or soap

For me:

Never buying again-
Lightfoot's Pure Pine soap
Herr & Man soap
Aqua Di Parma cream

Probably won't buy again-
Mitchell's Wool Fat soap
Any Van Der Hagen soap
Current formula Williams soap

Interesting. MWF is my favorite! And I use VDH deluxe as a travel soap.

Hardness or softness of water and stiffness or floppiness of brush is a factor, I suppose.

Im going to say that you must be doing something wrong. I've only been doing this a wet week but i find lathering tabac to be nearly as easy as my palmolive cream. In fact i have to keep reminding myself to back of on loading my brush before lathering as i always end up with too much!

I use a stick, rub it on my wet face, wet a soft synthetic brush and then after 30 seconds and a few more dips i have lather everywhere.

You probably use the soap/soap stick. The cream is known to have problems.
