It's just there to balance the razor karma.

We read about so many "NOS President/Sheraton/Fat Boy/ etc." for five bucks at the antique shop/swap meet/estate sale/etc. that every once in a while this has to happen to keep the universe in balance.

It is odd that an inflated asking price like this gets a sneer while handing the widow at the estate sale a fin for a Toggle will likely garner no more than a "nice score" from the assembled RAD addicts.

Nice razor! IMO...It's worth about $20-$30 You can find these on the BST for for a realistic price quite often!

I think my favorite part of that listing is where they state that they found out the razor was worth $189, with the implication that they are doing everyone a favor by offering it for the low price of $129.

+1 - who did they get the evaluation done from Sotheby's or Christies ?

I traded a new with a fellow B&Ber - a nice shiny one with the red and black box valued at around 24$ and it is really a shiny preserved piece.

This guy's "diffently" legit. I've never thought of having razor "equity". I think I'm going to forget my IRA and put all my retirement funds in razors.

It's not the razor thats so expensive, it is the shiny "Legion Blades" that are so rare ....

The good news is that my razor collection is now worth 2.7 million dollars if old ball ends are in the low three figures now.
