No. 4711 Excellent!

I wrote this up in another thread by I am very impressed by No. 4711. this inexpensive aftershave has an Old world scent, just a bit of sting and a nice warm feeling. Old geezers like me and military guys will love this one.

On one hand the scent of 4711 is quite pleasant, its performance is good and it's quite cheap. On the other hand it makes me think "old" when I smell it. Not classic, not vintage, just old. It might be for me in another 20 years.

I am 70 years old! So it is perfect for me. Cheap is my middle name. I own lots of old time cheap (price) scents. Trying to buy the "real original genuine" 1932 Floid aftershave formula.

I think that is a compliment lol I might try that too. I actually do that with Saponificio Varesino shaving soaps. After use I leave it open on its upside down tin by the open bathroom window.
It was my wife who told me about the air freshener thing. She’s German. Apparently people spray a little on the curtains. I guess that might also be nice when you open the window and there’s a gentle breeze.

Also, she calls it “sieben und vierzig elf” which somehow seems like an odd name for a perfume when you say it like that.

She would love having somewhere like that here in England. The supermarkets here recently stopped selling real bratwürst because of the post-Brexit import tariffs. They started selling a “new and improved recipe” which you honestly wouldn’t feed to your dog. She’s quite angry about it.
