Niewbie - best (badger? deal

Hi,
Completely by accident I found this forum and admit the daily peeks here.
At home, we all look at me, at least "strange" and I think I'm at the stage of acquiring information ... too much data = disinformation.
I got a gift and it was a wee scot Simpson was very happy but there is one problem - the brush is too small for me (I have big hands). Unfortunately, instead of joy because I have a slight concern I would like to exchange for something else, bigger at least in the same class and maybe better.
What you propose so for $ 70.
I searched the forum but I would like to seek experienced counsel.
I really like softness of the brush but maybe you have some suggestions for me to try another type of brush:
synthetic
boar
Thanks,
J>:confused1

Here's a thread from Bob Farvour. Take a look at the redwood burl...sounds like it could be right up your alley. The blue and white one looks like it is a good size too.

Having been through a "few" brushes, I have not found a Simpsons or Rooney for under $100 that can hang with anything from our artisan hobbyists here on B&B. Another option would be the Semogue Owners Club in badger. The boar brushes are great and relatively inexpensive, but definitely a different feel than badger.

Good Luck!

I just glued a Whipped Dog 30mm silvertip into one of his handles (could have had them do it at no charge, but I like to piddle), and have to say it is the best deal I've found for a big silvertip. Very soft tips and stands up to soaps. $36, shipped (CONUS).

Thanks. I am still discovering this website and I am learning more.
I am reading a lot of positive things about him.

+1 Great suggestions, here! Good luck with your decision!

If you've got the patience to wait until your post count is higher maybe you could trade/swap for a bigger brush in the BST....shouldn't be too hard, the Wee Scot is a popular item.

I've found some of the best in the Vulfix line. Good quality, well made by hand brushes, and they won't break the bank. The 2234 in best is one of my favorites.

Thanks a lot for all your suggestions.
Mad Man I like your idea (if I already know that my Simpson is too little:biggrin1: and I will not use maybe somebody else will enjoy much more = Christmas is coming).
