I'm going to be in New York this weekend for a conference. It looks like I'm going to be free from midmorning until late afternoon on Friday. Anybody free for lunch or coffee?

I ended up meeting Jim and The Nid Hog at Cambridge Chemists, after which we had lunch together. It was fun - I was honored to be in the presence of Cary Grant and Lee Marvin, although I felt like Pauly Shore by comparison.
It was also nice to meet Scott at Cambridge Chemists, who I understand is a good friend to B&B. He'll definitely be getting more of my business.

It was a great time! I got into town from the airport, dropped my gear off at my friend's apartment and linked up with Jim. He was nice enough to come all the way into town, pick me up and take me down to Cambridge Chemists. It was like a visit to the Holy of Holies. Scott was a great host and helped me pick out some good stuff that fit my meager budget. After that, we met up with Obsessed and had lunch. Corned beef hash, poached eggs, and good conversation--not to be missed! Then, we stopped in at Pasteur's, where I bought a bottle of Booster's.
After that, Obsessed had to go back to the World of Work, but Jim and I went on to meet up with Evbo for a while. Before long, it was time for me to get to work too and Jim dropped me off.
I'm really glad that I had a chance to meet everybody off-line. I'm only sorry that I didn't meet SiBurning and the DunEdinRanger too. Thanks to everybody for making time to meet up, and especially to Jim for going out of his way to take care of me. It's a great bunch of guys we have here!
