Nickel Rod

Is there any other place than texasknife.com that sells 1/16" nickel rod.

They have been sold out forever and I'm wanting to get some for restores. All you restorers out there where else can you find this stuff?

Consider using 1/16" or 1.5mm brass rod available from hobby supply shops. Some welding/brazing supply houses sell a 1/16" dia. or thereabouts brazing/spelter rod. This will work OK too.

Thanks! Unfortunately about 2.5 times texasknife, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

Can get brass rod from my local hardware store for $1.50 for 3-12" ones so that is at least nice.

Try any local welding shop. They should carry nickel rod for TIG welding. Typically 1/16"x36" lengths. Might have to buy way more than you could ever use. If you know any weld or fab shops nearby, they may have some and give you a wire. Luck.
