ASCOB is a Cocker Spaniel breed specification (any solid color other than black)

Todays "R" is a carryover from Volvo's R Sport performance division back in the 70's. You could order all sorts of performance and cosmetic goodies for your 'Brick' direct from the dealer.

IIRC, Volvo stopped supplying R Sport factory parts sometime in the '80's. Volvo still uses the "R" on their modern cars to denote the performance version of various models.

It gets around town. Not taken it on a long trip in 30 years or so.

We have 7 autos which is why the mileage is low. Add em all up and there is a lot of miles on "them".
